As a member of Stretch Orchestra – a trio, whose others members are Matt Brubeck and Kevin Breit – Stewart won a 2012 Juno Award for Instrumental Album of the Year. Also a visual artist, Stewart is an adjunct professor at the University of Ottawa and has exhibited work in more than a dozen solo and group shows.
